The Post Yom Tov Season Post
Sigh. A beautiful Yom Tov season - hard to believe it's over. A lot to recap in the meantime....
In the last post, I mentioned that we celebrated our 5th anniversary over the summer, but I did not mention that as part of that celebration, our wonderful friend, Jeremy K, who is also a pilot, took us on a short trip up to Friday Harbor on the San Juan Islands- near the border of Canada. It was a beautiful picturesque evening, but at the time of the last blog post, I did not have my pics from our 3 hour mini-trip. Now, I do. :) (see below)
Summer ended, school began - for three of us, anyway. Temima Liba started Tiny Tots, Sara Chana started Pre-K, and Shoshana is back in Kindergarten for a second year. We all had wonderful starts to the year, albeit a bit broken up (about 12 days of school in the first month due to all the Yomim Tovim!)
Aunt Hillary joined us for a beautiful Rosh Hashana (complete this year with a real fish head and everything!) A beautiful and inspiring (and a bit tiring) Yom Kippur followed. Then.... Sukkos! We had a lovely Sukkos, with our Sukkah much more decorated this year than last, fairly nice weather throughout the week (a bit of rain here and there, but not too bad), and a lots of wonderful company. Simchas Torah - our favorite holiday was fantastic. The girls love singing and dancing - especially to "Toras Hashem TEMIMA" or as they sometimes sing "Toras Hashem Temima Liba" and "Moshe Emes" which has become a verb. ("Will you "Moshe Emes" me?" ie: throw me up in the air while singing "Moshe Emes?")
The girls have had some very cute sayings:
TLM began saying "How 'bout...." for a lot of random things. For example, if we give her a choice of snack:
Us: Would you like some apple or cheese?
TLM: How 'bout.... graham cracker? How 'bout raisins?

SCM one night had pasta with Parmesan cheese. She asked me later: “ Why is it always Parmedge on cheese? Could we have Parmedge on... cereal?”
One day towards the beginning of the school year, TLM came home with paint on her hands. We asked her if she painted, and she said yes. Then we asked her, "What did you paint?" to which she replied, "I painted my fingers!" Yes. Yes, she did.
SCM (Putting on a new shirt): "Is this from Target? I smell Target on it." (Secret revealed of where I do most of my shopping!)
Enjoy the pics and videos!

Shoshana, it is astounding to see your amazing gymnast summersaulting about with such grace. Remember way back in Chicago when her pediatrician worried you so and sent you to the PT? Well look at her now! They are both so cute and so sweet! The concerts are fantastic. They are ready for the stage! May you continue to shepp nachas and share it with us. Thank you. Esther Merzel

That was so cute about the things they said. Great pics too. The girls are adorable! SCM looks like a Marshak.
