Where did the Fall go?
Somehow, winter came early for Seattle. Here's what's happened in our breif Autumn this year.
Sara Chana got her first haircut! As you can see in some of the pics below, it looks very cute. The other exciting thing to happen in Seattle is snow. Yes, snow can be exciting. Last year, we didn't get one flake the whole winter, but two years ago, we were snowed in for two weeks. Seattle doesn't use their plows for residential areas, and they don't salt for environmental reasons. So... we have had 2 snow days before even December, as we wait for the snow to melt! It looks like it is melting, we have much less snow than the storm 2 years ago. Phew.
Here are a few cute quotes and anecdotes from the girlies:
When the girls were learning about Noach and the teiva (ark), Temima Liba was very excited to share with us about the project she made at school. Ima asked her, "What did Noach put on the teiva?" (expecting her to answer "animals"). Instead, she answered, "Glue!"
Sara Chana asked us, "When I grow up and get married, can I still live with you?" To which Ima replied that she would probably feel differently when she was older. Still Sara Chana insisted, "No, I'll live with you! Me and my husband, and you and your husband!"
Temima Liba is learning her letters. She loves singing her "ABCs" but still gets distracted easily. One day, she was singing as Abba was making her a snack. Her song came out, "A B C D E F G, H I... Waffles!!"
Onto to the pictures! (Which is why you are probably reading this anyway. Yes, we know our audience.)
Oh, and don't forget to post a comment! We love comments.
