End of Summer, Beginning of Fall
When we last left off, our heroes were enjoying summer camp and outings. They continued to enjoy the end of the summer with what we refer to as "Camp Uncle Stu-Stu". During the last week that Ima was tutoring this summer, Uncle Stu came to visit, and took the girls on fun day trips. Some of the highlights included: The Family Fun Center where they got to go on rides, get tokens to play games, and climb on the indoor playground; bowling; parks; the gymnasium; the Children’s Museum; and the Pacific Science Center! We also took a family trip to a blueberry farm and got to pick our own blueberries. Yum!
As the summer wound down, we also took some family day trips to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. We took a 1 and a half hour sailing trip on Elliot Bay, went fishing at a trout pond (and later ate our catch for lunch), and went on a boat on Lake Washington. Abba and the girls even went on a raft when the boat anchored down for a bit!
The first day of school this year was so exciting! TLM is now a "second year Tiny Totter" and SCM began Kindergarten. Ima is working as the Judaic Resource teacher in school this year. SCM wears a uniform now and looks very grown up!
We enjoyed having several more guests come in and out of town to visit - our friend and former neighbor Kate with her daughter Adira, Aunt Hillary and David, and Ima's friend Yehudis. We love guests!
We were saddened recently on the loss of our dear Papa Jack A"H. He is greatly missed.
Rosh Hashana was very nice, and before Yom Kippur, Grandma arrived and is here with us throughout Sukkos! Sukkos has started out beautifully, and we are looking forward to the rest of Chol Hamoed and Simchas Torah.
Until next post, enjoy the pictures!
